WWU women's basketball suffers big loss to Alaska Anchorage

The Western Washington University women’s basketball team fell 72-40 to the No. 20 nationally-ranked University of Alaska Anchorage Seawolves on Thursday, Feb. 13, at Sam Carver Gymnasium in Bellingham, Wash. This was their second meeting of the season after losing 67-59 in their first meeting in Alaska on Jan. 18, 2025.

Q&A: Maleah Andrews on taking things one step at a time

Maleah Andrews put together a stellar freshman season for the Vikings’ softball team in 2024. She started in all 64 of the Vikings’ games, batted .354/.456/.593 with 18 doubles and 34 RBIs and belted a walk-off eighth-inning home run to defeat California State University Dominguez Hills, sending the team to the NCAA DII Softball World Series.

Vikings battle more than just weather in a 2-1 victory against the Yellowjackets

The Western Washington University men's soccer team prevailed in a 2-1 victory over Montana State University Billings on a windy, wet, and cold Saturday afternoon at Robert S. Harrington Field. Western boosted its record to 4-4-3 overall and 2-2-1 in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference play with back-to-back victories last week. The Vikings are now tied for fourth place in GNAC with MSUB.
