Fairhaven's 1-Up Lounge is changing the gaming scene with craft cocktails and mocktails, paired with over 4,000 gaming options. The lively sounds of people chattering and buttons clicking creates an intimate gaming experience for people of all ages. The 1-Up Lounge has been open since 2017 at 121 McKenzie Ave., Bellingham, Wash.

Vikings battle more than just weather in a 2-1 victory against the Yellowjackets

The Western Washington University men's soccer team prevailed in a 2-1 victory over Montana State University Billings on a windy, wet, and cold Saturday afternoon at Robert S. Harrington Field. Western boosted its record to 4-4-3 overall and 2-2-1 in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference play with back-to-back victories last week. The Vikings are now tied for fourth place in GNAC with MSUB.

Jiu jitsu and its community at WWU

The Wade King Student Recreation Center offers students guided fitness based classes through the X-Pass including martial arts. There is a $5 drop-in fee for one-time attendance to any X-pass class. For an 11-week pass, it’s $45 for unlimited access to classes.

Samish Park closed due to bridge construction

Due to extensive wear and tear on the bridge adjacent to Samish Park, the construction equipment and materials needed for the job will be stored at the nearby Samish Park, closing one of Bellingham’s more popular warm weather hangouts for two summers.
