Western students join nationwide walkout to demand cease-fire

Over 100 students staged a walkout and gathered in Western Washington University’s Red Square on Wednesday, Oct. 25, to demand a cease-fire in the Gaza Strip. The demonstration was part of a national student walkout calling for an end to Israel’s siege of Gaza. Western’s Arab Student Association organized the event on campus.

A wild mushroom show takes over Western

The Northwest Mushroomers Association is hosting its 31st annual Wild Mushroom Show in the Viking Union at Western Washington University this Sunday, Oct. 22, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. This is the association’s first show after a four-year hiatus due to COVID-19.

WWU Leads the Way to Decarbonization

The renovation of Western Washington University’s heating system was one of the four major capital projects in the university’s 2023-25 budget. In April, the state approved a $10 million fund to complete phase one of this project.
