WWU women’s rugby and the executive orders

The women’s rugby team at Western Washington University made an instagram post  after President Donald Trump announced the executive order banning trans women from women’s sports. This post took a stand against the order, stating that “all athletes deserve to play.”

Rising housing costs and a limited job market are driving many Western Washington University graduates to seek employment outside of Bellingham. As the end of the academic year approaches, thousands of students will need to factor in where opportunity will lead them.

OPINION: Disagreeing with my past self and trying to grow

As of writing this, I’m about to graduate from Western Washington University, and as I look back on the last four years of learning — and beyond — I’m recognizing ways I’ve grown as a person both personally and academically. I set out to write this piece as an amendment of sorts to a guest opinion I wrote for this publication back in August of 2022. I’ve come to appreciate the bigger ways I’ve evolved, learned to appreciate this evolution by holding myself accountable, but also accepted my own limitations.
