Bellingham Bells versus Kelowna (Friday, Aug. 3 - Saturday, Aug. 4)

Joe Martin Field (1220 Civic Field Way) 6:30-8 p.m. Tickets: $7 general admissions, $10 grandstand seat, $13.50 dugout box seat The collegiate Bellingham Bells will play the Kelowna Falcons as part of their 57-game season.

Makayla’s Street Jam (Saturday, Aug. 4 - Sunday, Aug. 5)

Ferndale (Cherry Street & 2nd Avenue) 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. $100 team of four K-2, $120 team of four 3-12, $140 team of four 18+ This all-ages 3 on 3 basketball tournament has been going on for the last six years to benefit “Strong against cancer,”  Seattle Children’s Ben Towne Center for Cancer Research.

Friday, Aug. 3

August Art Walk

Downtown Bellingham 6-11 p.m. Free Bellingham’s thriving downtown district features the creative talent throughout the city. Galleries and other businesses around the city participate in this monthly event.

Friday Night Farm Tunes 

Bellewood Acres, Lynden (6140 Guide Meridian) 6-9 p.m. Free This family-friendly summer music series kicks off this Friday in Lynden. The artist, Havilah Rand, will be performing on this date.

Saturday, Aug. 4

Bellingham Farmers Market

Downtown Bellingham (1100 Railroad Ave.) 10 a.m - 3 p.m. Free The Saturday Market is a weekly event from April through December located in the Depot Market Square. This event is known to attract large crowds  to shop at the over 100 vendors selling goods and produce.

Art in the Alley

Jansen Art Center (321 Front St.) 5:30-9 p.m. Tickets: $25 Live music, food trucks and art activities and demonstrations will all be going on behind the Jansen Art Gallery in Judson Alley. It is dedicated to the arts and creativity in our community.

Northing up the Nooksack Talk 

Chair 9 Pizza and Bar (10459 Mt. Baker Highway) 6-7 p.m. Free Public talk around a campfire with the Nooksack Salmon Enhancement Association interpreters about the history of the area. S’mores will also be provided

Bigfoot Arts and Crafts Festival

Maple Falls Creek (Mt Baker Highway and Silver Lake Road) 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Free This festival is dedicated to bringing awareness to the maple falls park and having the community gather. There will be over 50 vendors and other activities including a dunk tank, Bigfoot costume contest and a raffle with kayaks as the prize.

Boundary Bay Trivia

Boundary Bay (1107 Railroad Ave.) 3-6 p.m. Cover: $1 Join Jeff Zwiers presents trivia about history, science, music, sports and pop culture.
