By Mia Steben Around 10 this morning, AB Crepes employees were already hard at work taking orders and creating their delicious crepes for a line of excited customers. AB Crepes is celebrating their 6th anniversary in the Bellingham, and they are showing their appreciation to the community with $5 crepes, for just one day. Western student Sidney Balfour was already getting her crepe with a friend. “I found out on Facebook. I like the local business and supporting them,” Balfour said. “Also, who doesn’t like crepes?” AB Crepes created an event on Facebook welcoming the community to come and enjoy their discount. The event garnered massive attention with 274 people saying they would attend and 1,600 interested individuals. “Everything on the menu is $5 except for creations, and we do charge for the add-ons,” AB employee Ebony Harris said. To further their appreciation of customer business over the last six years, they are utilizing Snapchat with their own personalized AB Snapchat filter and giving away stickers and apparel from last year’s anniversary, according to the Facebook event. Standing outside the AB Crepe doorway, Bellingham High School senior Lena Corry was waiting in line to order a crepe with her friend. “I came because $5 crepes is a total steal, and I really like their crepes,” Corry said. AB Crepes, located at 1311 Railroad Ave., will be serving $5 crepes from 9 a.m. through 2:30 a.m. on April 21.
