Caption: Western women’s soccer defeated GNAC second-ranked team Central Washington Saturday. The team’s home victory set two GNAC records by making this their fifth consecutive GNAC regular season title and sealing a 23-game home winning streak.
Volleyball
Last result: 3-2 win at seventh ranked University of Alaska Anchorage.

Standing: Ranked second in the GNAC and 19th nationally.

Caption: Western volleyball extended their winning streak to nine games, defeating Alaska Anchorage in five sets. Sophomore Abby Phelps provided her 13th double-double of the season with 14 kills and 16 digs.
Men’s Soccer

Standing: Fifth in the GNAC.

Caption: After falling short to Saint Martin’s early in the season, Western men’s soccer struck back with a 3-0 win on Thursday, Oct. 20. Junior Forward Anthony Dean scored twice and had one assist making it the team’s fifth shutout game of the season.
Cross Country
Last result: Men finished 3rd in the 8,000 meter race at the East Lake Padden GNAC Championships Saturday, Oct. 22.
Last result: Women placed 4th in the 6,000 meter race at the East Lake Padden GNAC Championships Saturday, Oct. 22.
Next up: NCAA Division II West Regional at Amend Park in Billings, Montana Saturday, Nov. 5.
Junior Isaac Derline finished the GNAC Championship third overall with a 10,000 meter time of 25:07:80. Junior Lillianna Stelling led the Viking women, finishing 23rd overall in the 6,000 meter race with a time of 22:59:10.
Men’s Golf
Last result: The team tied for eighth place out of 16 teams at the Otter Fall Invitational in Seaside, California Oct. 17-18. This concluded the team’s fall season.
Next up: The team’s spring season begins April 24-25 at the GNAC Championships in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
Women’s Golf
Last result: Women’s golf tied for seventh out of nine teams at the Sonoma State Fall Invitational in Rohnert Park, California Oct. 17-18.
Next up: The team closes out the Dennis Rose Intercollegiate tournament Tuesday, Oct. 25.
